SPIRITS’ latest album “Unrest” is comprised of 12 songs that collectively push the sonic boundaries of the band outwards in numerous directions while still maintaining a strong foothold on their melodic punk-hardcore roots. Hard hitting, no-nonsense, lean punk/hardcore songs that take you on a roller coaster ride of tempos, emotions, and lyrical themes. STATE OF MIND RECORDINGS worked with them to create a sick package, where the die cut jacket acts as a frame for the one of the 4 different portraits included. Hit up STATE OF MIND for your copy or check out SPIRITS on a mini east coast tour in September.
Beginning as a thought while sitting and scrolling on the toilet, SKRATCH POOP was born into an online dj source. Originally connecting through turntables, DJ IDEA and DJ LOK began utilizing their skills to cater to portablist, turntablists and non-turntablists alike. “Number 2 Breaks” is a color in color ‘Dookie Brown’ inside ‘White’ Color-In-Color skipless 7″ scratch record produced by DJ IDEA. Contains unheard cut phrases and a bunch of new unheard scratch sounds created by DJ IDEA himself. Side A holds 6 skipless tracks and Side B holds 5 skipless tracks. This record is put together at 83 bpm and all phrases and sounds land on beat!
The mysterious tale of “The Twin”, the second full-length from SOUND OF CERES, exists in myriad permutations, too: a new album, a mesmerizing live show, videos, an Alastair Reynolds short story… and others in-between.
