Picture Slide Flexis
We’ve got a special RECORD OF THE WEEK Blog for ya!!
We are proud to debut to the world the newest innovation in vinyl – PICTURE FLEXIS! With grooves on the front, and printing on the back of transparent material, the potential is endless…and they sound AMAZING too. This format will end up being just as integral as sports cards or “Garbage Pail Kids” to collectors – because they can be cooler and more loved – they carry MUSIC & ART! – They’re like baseball or football cards for music fanatics and record collectors! Plus, you can fit 500+ in a standard DJ box. These picture flexis were introduced to the world through Pirates Press Records at SXSW and most recently through two HUGE projects – the release of TWELVE PICTURE FLEXIS for Territories’ debut record and the “PICTURE SLIDE FLEXI SERIES” (shown above), an ongoing series of collectible singles, starting off with six tracks from Cock Sparrer, DeeCRACKS, This Means War, The Ratchets, The Complicators, and Territories. This will be a highly sought after set and fans will be able to collect these through mailorder, distributed across the globe in record stores, and at gigs! To celebrate, and to show the world how cool these are, we’re giving them away like crazy! EMAIL US (email@example.com) to request FREE SAMPLES!

YONATAN GAT is a guitarist, producer and experimental composer based in NYC. GAT became known as one of the world’s top performers as founder and guitarist of Monotonix, with concerts that quite literally destroyed the border between performer and audience, and were controversial enough to get them banned from playing their home country of Israel. GAT then relocated to New York City. He began recording and performing as a solo artist, Three years on, GAT returns with “Universalists”, an album that marks an ambitious and expansive next step. In fact, they are being praised as “Ever Forward” is a perfect example of the type of quality projects that are needed to keep the punk scene alive and growing. Oklahoma musician JOHN CALVIN ABNEY has spent the last few years as a side man for John Moreland. In the in-between moment’s, he’s toured under his own name, written infectious tunes, and recorded parts for countless other musician’s recordings. “Coyote” has a distinct sense of place, of loneliness and love. The album is spacious and steady, and it comes at the heels of Abney taking a much-needed breath to process those experiences, a journey listeners can hear in real time.
