The legendary KOOL KEITH has joined forces with THREE ONE G for this 7″ EP, which features a remix by Planet B and a mash up with Dead Cross, both of which are also THREE ONE G artists. KOOL KEITH is still spitting his eccentric thoughts decades into his career with as much flow as ever. Well-known for his lyrics focused on absurd metaphors and surreal similes, KEITH’S oddness certainly aligns with hip hop-punk amalgam Planet B, comprised of punk vocalist Justin Pearson and double MPC-wielding Luke Henshaw. The duo have once again collaborated with KEITH to create a blistering remix of his new track, “Blast”, which can also be found on this EP. PIRATES PRESS RECORDS and RAMOMS are dropping a Mother’s Day surprise gift on ya! It hasn’t even been a year and Gritty is by far the most popular and adored mascot in professional sports today. So it only makes sense that Philadelphia’s RAMOMS dedicate the first track from their new 7”, “Problem Child,” to the Flyers’ beloved mascot! The all female quartet from the City of Brotherly Love base their songs on classic Ramones with their own motherly twist, with tracks such as “Gritty Is A Punk” (a take on ‘Judy Is A Punk’) and “Boogie Not Snot” (“Blitzkrieg Bop”). Of course, they give us a proper cover of “Rockaway Beach” on the B-side to round out this dynamite release! Grab a ‘Blood Red’ from 7” today, only on PIRATES PRESS RECORDS!

VALE OF PNATH’S second EP following two acclaimed full-lengths (2011’s The Prodigal Empire and 2016’s II), ‘Accursed’ is fueled with Tech Death adrenaline and shrouded in black metal’s iniquitous aura. Those complementary qualities enhance what is unequivocally another giant step forward in penetrating songwriting dynamics. Concision with depth describes the five proper compositions, while the cold, mechanistic opening soundscape “Shadow and Agony” and chilling interlude “Audient Void,” are equally vital in completing an EP that is best absorbed as a holistic musical experience, albeit one that is the stuff of nightmares. The picture painted is a bleak one, the intensity unleashed nothing short of devastating to the nervous system and traumatic to the psyche. Get yours from WILLOWTIP today!
See ya next week!
