The dark minds over at PESANTA URFOLK are here with their latest offering of Drone/Dark/Black Metal by way of this insane double LP from TREPANERINGSRITUALEN and SUTEKH HEXEN!!! Called, ‘One Hundred Year Storm’, this evil thing has metallic silver ink on the labels, a reverse board gatefold jacket with spot UV gloss for a crazy texture/look and even flood printing on the inside of the jacket! Oh, and either ‘Black’ records or over the top ‘White’ and ‘Electric Blue’ Aside/Bside record with ‘Silver’ haze, both a heavy weight set of records. CHUNKSAAH RECORDS is at it again with TIM BARRY’s debut album, just in time for his UK tour which starts in a few weeks! Known as ‘Rivanna Junction’, this is the album that arrived with such presence and confidence, it was clear TIM BARRY was a man steeped in the tradition of folk and country music. There’s a lot more going on here than “just another old guy that used to be in a punk band that now plays an acoustic guitar”. After over a decade, MASTODON’s debut LP is being repressed on RELAPSE RECORDS! Voted one of the best debut metal albums of all time, 2002’s ‘Remission’ is back and even more glorious, if that’s even possible. MEDICAL RECORDS returns to Germany for another piece of the Neue Deutsche Welle story with the reissue of the one and only album by TSE-TSE. Originally pressed in 1983, the archivists over at MEDICAL knew that this record was due to be heard again. Known for the strict attention to detail in replicating the feel of these long out of press records, this album was made with a super thick jacket stock and only ‘Kelly Green’ colored heavy weight records. You will only find TSE-TSE along with a host of other great early electronic LPs at MEDICAL RECORDS….
