SURFER BLOOD’S fourth studio album, “Snowdonia”, is due out February 3rd via JOYFUL NOISE RECORDINGS. A sonic departure for the band, it’s their first release since 2010’s “Astro Coast” that lead singer John Paul Pitts has written and mixed alone. THE DACIOS formed in 2005. Their first release, “Monkey’s Blood” in 2009 was a critical success. The current DACIOS line up sees the return of original member Robert ‘Pops’ Johnson on drums, the introduction of noise guitar maestro Bonnie Mercer and the reunion of bass player Mindy Mapp, with Bean and Linda J who formerly all played together in legendary Tasmanian outfit, Little Ugly Girls. Legendary punk label CHUNKSAAH RECORDS gives us this gorgeous RANDOM BLEND repress of the BOUNCING SOULS / HOT WATER MUSIC 7″ split! In December 2010, the Bouncing Souls and Hot Water Music embarked on a tour of Australia and New Zealand that was routed in a hotel room in Vancouver in 2003. To celebrate the bromance reunion, CHUNKSAAH made a nifty tour seven inch, each band covering the other!

The Loved Ones’ frontman DAVE HAUSE did a monthly 7″ series split amongst several independent labels. “Time Will Tell” is the 4th in that series which found a home on CHUNKSAAH RECORDS! This RANDOM BLEND 7″ vinyl features Hause covering two songs from the respective label’s catalog as well as two alternate takes of Hause originals. “Time Will Tell” features covers of the Bouncing Souls’ ‘Ghosts on the Boardwalk’ and Detournement’s ‘Odessa’. Alternate versions of “Time Will Tell” and ‘Meet Me at the Lanes’ from Dave’s first full-length also appear on the release.

Started by members of Downtown Struts, VOLUME is a Chicago-based group releasing their debut LP “Orange Park” alongside their first book “Tell Me Through the Window”. The group was created around the idea of wanting to produce art outside of the music industry and to develop a direct-to-audience experience. “Orange Park” is a 10-song autobiographic record of lead singer Daniel Cooper’s lifetime struggle with mental illness and is available December 16th only on vinyl.
