TSOL – “Trigger Complex”
Rise Records is finishing the year out strong on this week’s RECORD OF THE WEEK blog!!!
Formed in 1978, TSOL has carved its legacy into the punk and hardcore scene. When powerhouse RISE RECORDS announced the band’s new record (their 11th studio album!), “Trigger Complex,” fans rejoiced for the first new music from the band in 8 years. “Trigger Complex” is released at a perfect point as the band’s politically charged music comes at a time of political turbulence. Whether it’s the “ULTRA CLEAR,” BLACK & “BLOOD RED” HALF-N-HALF, or the “BLOOD RED” & “ULTRA CLEAR” HALF-N-HALF with BLACK SPLATTER vinyl, you can’t go wrong with any choice!

New York City sludge/doom/drone trio UNEARTHLY TRANCE re-emerge from the shadows with ‘Stalking the Ghost’, their six full-length recording and first album in over seven years. An esoteric ritual of seismic doom, ‘Stalking the Ghost’ taps into the darkest realms of the occult over the course of seven tracks that reek of utter despair. Forming a balance between slow-churning maelstrom and spine-chilling harmony, wrapped beneath a blackened cloud of rumbling feedback, UNEARTHLY TRANCE sound more powerful and exploratory than ever before. Hit up the metal masters over at RELAPSE RECORDS an preorder one, NOW!

When Tyler Carter left his old metalcore act, Woe, Is Me, to form and front ISSUES, there was an immediate excitement over what the gifted vocalist could produce. The hard rock band self-released an EP entitled “Black Diamonds” and then put together “Diamond Dreams,” a collection of acoustic versions of Issues songs. Over the past few years, Issues has gained a massive following under the RISE RECORDS banner balancing Carter’s R&B-style vocals with its blending of metalcore, nu-metal, and hard rock. This repress of BLACK & “ULTRA CLEAR” and BLACK & GREY HALF-N-HALF vinyl variants is a must-have for ISSUES fans.
