Ritualistic, apocalyptic noisemakers ATRIARCH are back with their fourth offering of mind-altering, doom-soaked, death rock entitled “Dead As Truth”. Coming out on RELAPSE RECORDS, “Dead As Truth” sees ATRIARCH venture deeper into the blackened abyss with haunting incantations, exotic drones, and crushing aural experimentations that boldly embrace death’s cold heart. Fragments of post-punk, gothic doom, black metal, sludge, and noise complement the band’s desolate universe and further supplement their most immediate and formidable release to date. ATRIARCH prescribe the order that there is but one truth and that is death.

VASUDEVA is an instrumental rock band from New Jersey. Formed out of a lasting high school friendship, the tight-knit trio blends elements of electronic music with their more indie/experimental rock foundation to create seemingly effortless, beautifully dynamic soundscapes, all locked in by a firm backdrop of unrelenting grooves. Self-recorded with an array of colors in their sonic palette, effect pedals, tape players, samplers, drum machines, and a Rhodes piano were just a few of the components used in the making of “No Clearance” (mastered by Jack Shirley at The Atomic Garden), capturing VASUDEVA at their rawest, yet most refined form to date.

D&G (DAVID & GOLIATH) – The concept for the group simply came from Dawhud’s name (David in Arabic) and Ace-One, who was in the midst of finishing up his “Rapmonster” series. Those two elements and the sheer chest pounding vibe of their prior track led to the creation of “David & Goliath”. Epic, biblical, and loaded with imagery that paints what the duo are trying to convey in just a name. “The Scepter & The Sword” will be released on July 14th with the splatter version being the deluxe version only available direct from the band…

Over those years, LSD AND THE SEARCH FOR GOD’S cult-like following within the underground psych/space/shoegaze community remained as passionate as ever, and ‘Heaven Is A Place’ picked up where they last left off—then blasted off for parts unknown. “Heaven,” “(I Don’t Think That We Should) Take It Slow,” and “Elizabeth” showcases the band at their best—swirling, reverb-drenched guitar chords, intertwined with shimmering male/female vocals—while “Outer Space” and “Without You” slow it down a bit and throw hazy, psychedelic guitar riffs into the mix. Check them out on their West Coast tour this July

SELF is the project of Matt Mahaffey, a Murfreesboro, TN-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist who began writing songs at age four. During high school he became proficient at home recording, setting up a studio in his basement recording demos, some of which eventually became part of his debut album, 1995’s Subliminal Plastic Motives. The album, an eclectic blend of power pop, hip-hop, and samples, earned Self a devoted following and tour dates with big alternative acts of the day. Porno, Mint & Grime is a companion piece of demos to sElf’s album, Ornament & Crime. Originally recorded between 2001-2004, neither record has ever been officially released and both are coming out on the same day, 8/25/17.
