With the knife-wielding, toothy-grinned Martha Splatterhead at their side, Seattle’s own THE ACCÜSED carved their way into the underground music scene by becoming one of the cornerstones of crossover music that melted faces in the 80s across the globe. After its demise in the early 2000s, the band was reborn in 2004 as TOE TAG and later MARTHA’S REVENGE–a grittier, back-to-roots incarnation of the Splatterrock sound comprised of three-fourths THE ACCÜSED. After recruitment of Poison Idea’s drummer, Mickey Widmere––the blender baby known as MARTHA’S REVENGE now proudly sports the moniker THE ACCÜSED AD. The first pressing of their new LP ‘The Ghoul in the Mirror’ sold out before official retail street date, and the second pressing is almost gone, so grab it now while you have a chance from BLACKHOUSE! MUSCLE BEACH formed in Denver in May of 2013 having performed in a half dozen festivals and tours. “Charms” is a departure from the band’s traditional subject matter and takes a darker, more sadistic turn. The album tackles subjects such as mental health, gun control, internal evil, and human impact on the Earth, amongst other things like cults, the church, and bad luck. Musically, the album is faster and meaner with tracks clocking in around a minute and a half, yet it maintains the band’s signature groovy style urging the listener to get up and move while banging their head.
