CEREMONY make their RELAPSE RECORDS debut with their highly ambitious new album, “In the Spirit World Now!” The album sees CEREMONY at the height of their creative output, as the always-evolving Rohnert Park quintet take various influences from post punk and rock to create one of the summer’s most compelling and infectious records. “In the Spirit World Now” is full of layered sonic fury and anxiety, each song building up to a point and then descending down through a militant, catchy hook. A haunting pop gem with a sticky chorus and lead synth riff that plants itself in your head as Farrar chants the track’s name over and over like a mantra. Get some over at RELAPSE RECORDS!

OTHER HORRIBLE ANIMALS formed as a 4 piece in 2015 and later added vocalist Ryan Anderson. OHA represents over 25 years of DIY collaboration and features members of many previous bands including Boy Wonder, The Damn Times, Prickies, Makeshift Shelter, Halcyon Shell, Betty X, and MD and the Bids. Their self titled 10” EP is available now over at1407 RECORDS, a DIY record label featuring records of bands in the central Texas area!

LITTLE HURRICANE formed in 2010 via a Craigslist ad, the duo (now husband/wife) formed to create a raw honest sound borrowing from their blues and punk backgrounds to fill what they thought was missing in the San Diego scene. Now based in Northern California the band is further perfecting their sound with their own recording studio. “Love Luck” is the fourth release by the band available on CD and Vinyl with a hot pink/black “galaxy” blend. It is the first release put out exclusively by their label, DEATH VALLEY RECORDS. LITTLE HURRICANE had their first child shortly before writing/recording this album which proved to be a challenge to the process but more importantly an inspiration for the songs. They are now expecting a daughter and touring throughout their drummer, CC’s, pregnancy. The “Love Luck” tour continues in September 2019 with five shows in Germany followed by nine west coast dates in the fall.

BLUNDERBUSST was founded in 2005 as a vehicle for singer-songwriter Jen Scaffidi. In 2012, Scaffidi and drummer Carolyn Gates were joined by guitarist Carson Cessna and began transitioning from their earlier post-hardcore-indebted sound to a dreamier sonic landscape. The “Monarch of the Mountain 2×7” EP” is their fifth release overall but first vinyl release! With a huge tour about to start covering most of the western half of the US, if you can’t make it head over to SLOW START RECORDS for your fix of dreamy, apocalyptic noise-pop!

MIKE MAINS & THE BRANCHES released their last album “Calm Down, Everything Is Fine” almost 4 years ago. Over the past 4 years they’ve had a lot of things test the confidence in music, relationships, friendships, and life. In 2016 & 2017 they recorded what was going to be our third album, but didn’t feel confident in the final product or the direction, so last spring they wrote a handful of additional songs, made some big life changes and got a call from TOOTH & NAIL RECORDS. With the help of crowdfunding and the label, “When We Were In Love” became a reality! Check them out live on a mini tour starting in October!
