Hello Again Vinyl Enthusiasts!
Friday is here again, and you KNOW that means another vinyl-filled RECORD OF THE WEEK blog! Kicking things off this time around is a killer new 12″ LP release from CRAZY AND THE BRAINS, courtesy of Baldy Longhair Records! The debut offering from this New Jersey garage-punk four-piece features 4 different (and equally awesome) vinyl configurations! The ‘Classic Black’, ‘Milky Clear w/ Red and Green Splatter’, and ‘Kelly Green / Hot Pink Half-n-Half’ pieces of wax all look phenomenal, and match the artwork perfectly! Seems like this band is hitting the ground running, and doing it in style!! Major props to Baldy Longhair and CRAZY AND THE BRAINS for a stellar release…

———————————— Honorable Mentions ———————————————
The first honorable mention this week is another crazy and gorgeous double LP release from PESANTA URFOLK! The band is LUX INTERNA, and their new album “There Is Light In The Body, There Is Blood In The Sun” features some amazing heavyweight vinyl with a custom etching on the B-Side! If that wasn’t impressive enough, the reverse-board jacket includes a 5mm spine (to hold both records) and Metallic Gold flood printing on the INSIDE of the jacket! Holy smokes.

Next up is a beautiful new release from LOWERCASE NOISES! Get a load of those deluxe colored vinyl choices! I can’t tell if the ‘Bone’/’Gold’ AsideBside or the ‘Bone’ w/ ‘Gold’ haze looks cooler, they’re both so rad!

This repress of PENFOLD’s ‘Our First Taste of Escape” Double LP includes some amazing ‘Royal Blue’ Vinyl w/ Black and White Splatter, and a super sweet 12″ x 10″ custom slipcase to house that heavyweight gatefold jacket! This one is definitely a looker…

I love the aesthetic on this one… Check out ‘Hungry Earth’ from South Dakota’s AMOS SLADE! The ‘Oxblood’ and ‘Bone’ colored vinyl choices were spot on, and the haze looks incredible!
