Hello Everyone!
Another Friday has arrived, and we’re back with another RECORD OF THE WEEK blog for all you vinyl lovers out there! Kicking things off this week is super cool new release from PACIFIC 231, courtesy of Silent Media. The album is called ‘Micromega’, and features an insane gatefold jacket with Spot UV gloss printing, a custom pocket to house a USB drive, and a custom cut out in the jacket for the USB pocket to show through! I don’t think we’ve ever had a band or label ask us to make a jacket with a pocket for a USB device (which contains videos of the audio on the record), but this was an amazing idea, and it turned out perfectly! BIG props to Silent Media and PACIFIC 231 for such a creative idea, the end product looks amazing!

———————————— Honorable Mentions ———————————————
The first honorable mention this time around is a beautiful new split 7″ release between THE STORY SO FAR and STICK TO YOUR GUNS! Pure Noise Records went all out on this one, choosing reverse-board gatefold jackets and three insane colored vinyl configurations! The ‘Ultra Clear’ / ‘Beer’ Half-n-Half with Black Splatter, ‘Bone’/’Ultra Clear’/’Electric Blue’ Tri-Color, and ‘Oxblood’ were all fantastic choices, and match the artwork really well. With the way things have been going for Pure Noise lately, I’m sure these are flying off the shelves!

That ‘Ultra Clear / White AsideBside’ Vinyl w/ Black and ‘Ultra Clear’ Splatter is one of the coolest looking records we’ve seen in a while….God damn!!
